It's a Must Do for clinical staff involved in providing care and treatment is to follow the legal requirements of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) 2005, which includes supporting our patients with a learning disability.

Oliver McGowan Training - Part 2 training update and pay scale increments
Recently we shared news that Part 2 of the Oliver McGowan training is now on ESR - including what training was required based on whether a role is patient or non-patient facing.
We are aware that Tier 2 (patient-facing) is currently fully booked. More dates will be published soon through to December for Tier 1 (non-patient facing).
If colleagues are due to go up a pay scale for incremental progression and cannot complete their training due to lack of space, this will not affect their increment as this is nationally provided training.
CHFT Lunch and Learn Sessions
Lead Nurse for Learning Disabilities, Amanda McKie and Enhanced Care Support Worker, Toseef Ahmed, are running monthly Lunch and Learn sessions around learning disabilities, starting this Tuesday, 22nd July. The dates and times for all sessions are as follows:
