It's Carers' Week, which is a reminder about the vital role that carers play, and how we can support them. Here's the information stand created at Dean Clough Mills for this week.

As part of the week, our Patient Experience Team have pulled together some training materials on their Support for Unpaid Carers intranet page.*

First up is a four minute video from unpaid carers who use our services, as well as colleagues who are unpaid carers and may need extra support. It explains more on the support of the CHFT Unpaid Carer Network, how you can support the workstream or join the Carers Champions Group. Thank you to those who took part.

A second short training video (14 minutes) has been developed to help to expand your knowledge of young carers and the challenges they face. Hear from young carers themselves, their experiences and what they would like professionals coming into contact with them to know. Find out what Calderdale and Kirklees Young Carers Services offer and how we can work together to improve identification and support across CHFT.

The video includes the referral process and key contact details for the young carer services in both Calderdale and Kirklees which are provided by Local Authorities.

*These videos are for internal use only, so please access them via the Support for Unpaid Carers intranet page.
