Never underestimate the power of a nomination for a CHuFT Award. Assistant Theatre Practitioner, Victoria Matundan, tells us how she felt to learn she had been nominated in the One Culture of Care category for our Awards which will be held in July.
Victoria had co-organised last year’s summer party for the Theatres Team and it clearly made an impact.
She wrote: “It is truly heart warming and exhilarating to know that my work has been noticed. I am deeply grateful to be part of CHFT, where I have the opportunity to serve not only our patients, but also my colleagues.
“Patients are our priority, and we dedicate our service to them, but the staff matter too. They need care, support and compassion. Their wellbeing directly impacts their performance and by looking after them, we ensure they can provide the highest standard of care to our patients.
“Healthcare is my passion and devotion. It is not about making money but about the love of caring for people, especially the sick and vulnerable. Seeing patients recover and knowing that my colleagues feel valued and appreciated is the greatest reward. It brings me joy to see our department filled with motivated, happy individuals.
“Being nominated is an honour, but simply witnessing patients heal and knowing my work makes a difference is reward enough.”
Almost 100 colleagues have been put forward for a nomination so far! If you have been meaning to nominate a colleague or team, there's no time like the present. It doesn't take long to submit a nomination, visit the website to submit yours: CHuFT Awards - Home
