Around 60 colleagues from Theatres attended a summer party at the weekend – with the event hailed such a success it looks like it'll be an annual event.
Clinical Operations Manager, Debra Yates, co-organised the cross-site event alongside Assistant Theatre Practitioner, Victoria Matundan. It was held at Brighouse Sports Club, and as well as a barbeque and dancing, attendees also had fun in the portable photo booth and a raffle with some great prizes donated by Intersurgical, who supply our oxygen masks, tubes and anaesthetic circuits.
The raffle raised £300 for the Forget Me Not Hospice.
Debra, pictured in red with Victoria, said: “It was a great opportunity to come together and celebrate all that Theatres has achieved and we even held our own mini-Awards Ceremony – with 18 Awards presented in total.
“As well as having around 60 new starters join us over the past few years, the teams have worked tremendously hard since the pandemic to reduce waiting lists, so it was an ideal time for them to let their hair down for a night.
“Everyone enjoyed the night so much that they’ve asked us to do it every year!”
