Halifax rugby league players visited the childrens ward at CRH this week to hand out some treats to the patients.

All patients received a gift box and could expect to find toys, Halifax RLFC game tickets and signed memorabilia.

Theri mascot Halicat, four first team players and Director, Mike Riley descended on the ward to help make the brave children of Halifax that bit more cheerful this festive season.

“Look at that smile!” was just one of the lovely things they heard as they wandered through each room, with plenty of High 5’s to go around.

Halifax RLFC Director, Mike Riley, said, "Being in hospital is hard for the children and parents whatever time of year it is, and Christmas can be an especially difficult time to keep a brave face on. Today we saw our players and Halicat boost the morale just that little bit more for those children, families, and staff who work so hard all year long."
