Theatre colleagues at CRH recently got together to complete some mandatory training and manual handling.

Colleagues were also invited from Admissions Unit, Day Procedure Unit and Pain services to maximise the day and in all 35 people were there, one of the biggest ever turnouts for an audit.

Operating Services Matron, Maggie Metcalfe said “It was fantastic that everyone got involved, there was lots of opportunity to be the patient! As well as completing the training, so lots of laughs along the way”

“We usually do some training, but we opened it up to other areas as all were behind on the manual handling mandatory training, this gave us the opportunity to crack on with our training and we even had flu vaccinations available.”

We do the must do’s and we work together to get results!!
