Fireman Gavin Shaw and some of his Crew From Rastrick Fire Station came to visit the Children’s Ward at Huddersfield Royal infirmary last week.
The Firemen are calling upon their local community to help them in raising money and toys for their Christmas toy appeal where they are hoping to provide presents for the children in hospital over the festive period and will visit both Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary Children’s Wards in the week running up to Christmas to hand out the gifts to the children
The Firemen have asked for help raising money and toys for their Christmas toy appeal. And they'll soon be back with us on our Children's Wards at both hospitals in the week running up to Christmas to hand out the gifts to the children.
The firemen have already managed to raise £500 for their cause and are aiming at a total of £2000 and so are asking people to please help by either donating toys (which have to be brand new) that are appropriate for ages birth-16 years, or to donate via their just giving site:

The toys can be taken directly to Rastrick Fire Station (Clough Lane, Brighouse, HD6 3QQ) The Firemen have asked that any toys are handed directly to someone at the Station and not left unattended at any time. All toys must be unwrapped.
