Ward 2 is back in action after a two month refurbishment.
Ward 2A/B/C/D are now back on their own wards following a mini refurb which was been carried out over the last two months to improve the environment for colleagues and patients.
Improvements include LED lighting fitted on the corridors which will ensure energy savings for the Trust. The ward has been painted throughout with the use of dementia friendly colours including colours above the doors so that patients can easily identify the rooms.
Flooring has been replaced in some areas. Half wall protection has been fitted to all rooms to minimise damage and the need to access the rooms as frequently for repairs and painting and all the doors have been protected to ensure they are damage resistant and retain their fire integrity.
Lots of teams have worked together to make this happen including the Engie Estates team at CRH and their contractors including joiners, painters and floorers, ISS Cleaning Services, Trust Service Performance team and of course a massive thank you to all of Ward 2 staff who have had to move around and work in a different area to allow this happen!
