Our Star Award is fast approaching its first birthday.

It's hard to believe but they've been up and running for a year now - amazing how time flies. They're  a tremendous  all-year-round way to recognise frontline staff for all their work every day and night of the year for our patients and their families. And it's great to see all the nominations  coming in every month and our judging panel soooo enjoy them all.

Nicola Lear was very our first winner and since then we've had individuals, teams and double acts nominated.  Reactions of shock, giggles and disbelief have been shown  when our CEO Owen Williams turns up - sometimes unannounced - with the framed certificate  after much good-natured subterfuge with the nominator. The winners also get £50 high street shopping vouchers.

Everyone know someone like that and here's how to get them the recognition they deserve.
