Candice might think she's Queen of the kitchen right now, but CRH's radiographer Glenda Goodall certainly knows her pastries from her pavlovas!

Our Glenda was outright champ at a charity Bake Off challenge - and in the process gained a lot of new 'flans' after taking the most winning votes for her "fantastic lemon cake".

Fellow radiographer Amy Hunt-Brown got in touch with CHFT Weekly to tell us about all the efforts the whole team put into the event, in aid of the charity SANDS (stillbirth and neonatal deaths charity).

Glenda, bottom left and in group pic attached, told CHFT Weekly: "I usually have terrible baking disasters and they either end up in the bin or the bird table! But this time everything just went just right thanks to Saint Delia (apologies to Mary Berry who was judging the Bake Off final last night!).

"There were some really good entries and I felt lucky to win - especially as there were 58 votes cast. It was great to see all our new members of staff pull together - it was a really great day".

In all 12 colleagues took part in the event on Wednesday October 12, which  coincided with National Baby Loss Awareness Week. Together they (self) raised £205.
