A big thank-you to all colleagues over the Easter Holiday weekend for enabling us to provide safe, quality care under immense pressures.

This Easter was one of the busiest in recent years.  A&E attendances were high with many poorly patients with complex needs and we had  to open extra beds to be able to ensure all our patients received the care they needed in the right place.

Our General Manager, Bev Walker, said: “Our contingency plans were in place and were very much needed. They meant we were able to continue to provide care for those who needed it throughout the holiday weekend but it was extremely busy as everyone working will be well aware of. I would like to pass on thanks to colleagues who made it possible for CHFT to cope and to ensure our patients received the safe, quality care they needed.”
