Our A&E porter Danny Tyndall has a mountain to climb - well several in the French Alps - as he takes to the toughest Tour de France route for charity this summer. See Danny's interview live here with CHFT Weekly (apologies for some of the sound. It was very windy on filming day)

Danny, 56, has been cycling in the UK and Europe for more than 30 years. For the past three years, he has taken part in the Pedal4Pounds cycle ride organised by Huddersfield Town Football Club and raised money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

This year he is cycling L’Etape Du Tour - an alpine stage of the Tour De France 2015 (142kms) on July 19. It’s an organised event to allow amateur cyclists to ride an actual Tour De France stage under Tour De France conditions. He is riding for world famous Great Ormond Street Hospital and hopes to raise £1000.

His main sponsor is ZHOODZ (www.zhoodz.co.uk) providing himself and his team with specialist reflective clothing. He is also looking for further sponsors to donate to their cause.

There is a Charity Gala Dinner being held at The White Swan in Outlane on May 19th. It’s a Black Tie event, tickets and menu now available  £30 per ticket.

If anyone would like to sponsor him or want tickets for the event, please contact his wife, Sarah who is based in radiology at HRI.
