The most requested tasks in the system are looking at initial data drug prescribing and cannulation. MAU and Short Stay requesting the most tasks, as anticipated.

The survey is available via the HOOP intranet page, or can be accessed here: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/89JLP8Y .

Consultant Microbiologist Dr. Gavin Boyd has been using HOOP to request antibiotic review of patients based on blood culture results.  Gavin says “I am pretty impressed with it. I think it can save us time, improve the quality of interactions and reduce the potential for some transcription errors.”

Training at HRI has begun for a mid-November go-live. Training for ward staff only takes 15 minutes. The training team will be coming round the wards on a daily basis seven days a week. As ward pressures allow please talk to them about HOOP and take the opportunity to receive your training.
