A week today our CCG colleagues will be debating and voting on whether to back the biggest local healthcare changes in 10 years.

The two local CCG boards - Calderdale and Greater Huddersfield - are sharing a meeting at Cedar Court  Hotel, Ainley Top,  to discuss whether to give the  reconfiguration proposals the green light or not.

If it goes ahead, the Trust will be reshaped with more care centralised at one site or the other to create specialst centres.

The proposals include one emergency care centre at CRH; one planned specialist care centre at HRI, an urgent care centres at each hospital for minor injuries and enhanced care provided in the communities.

We will be tweeting live from the event with all the key issues and a trustwide email will be sent out as soon as the decision is known so you know first!

Briefing sessions for colleagues are planned for the day afterwards; Friday 21 October - so colleagues can also hear in person about the decision from Chief Executive Owen Williams:

  • HRI 1.30pm Boardroom (sub-basement)
  • CRH 2.30pm Lecture Theatre
