Laura Szep is one of the latest cohort of new nursing recruits.

She was one of 40 (see attached group pic)  who are starting their first weeks on the wards and departments after a week of induction.

They started on the wards and departments on Monday.

Laura Szep is now with the team on ward 8.  Laura is from Romania but has been in Huddersfield for six years working in care. She said: " I trained in a hospital back home and I wanted to get back to that. The week has been really good. Everyone has been really nice and I feel  we are well set up."

Ward Manager, Paula McDonagh, said:  “Laura is enthusiastic; she has a lovely manner with patients. This is her third day with us and she seems to be settling in well as she is naturally friendly”.

The Trust is holding a big recruitment event on Saturday October 15 at HRI in the Boardroom for nurses and theatre practitioners.
