In aid of National Older people’s day on the 1st October, Our Fall Prevention Service team will be having a stall in the entrance of Calderdale Royal Hospital on Wednesday (5th October) from 1.30pm.
All are welcome to come along and speak with members of staff the public to find out more about our service, and to find out about risk factors for falling, and how to keep fit and healthy.
The Falls Prevention Team provides evidence based intervention for the population of Calderdale, aiming to reduce the risk of falling in the over 55s.
The Falls Prevention Service work closely with colleagues in the Community Rehabilitation teams, ensuring that everyone is spreading the message about preventing falls. We have also recently produced some guidance for Care Homes in Calderdale, in collaboration with the Quest for Quality team, to help them manage falls risks in their residents.
