This year we've lots of fresh new ideas to increase uptake of the flu vaccination.

Weekly prize draws, a personal donation to charity from Owen, t-shirts and armbands for our immunisng team, magnets for fridges stocked up with the vaccine, a full on flu day and a new dedicated email address will help support the campign and hopefully make more colleagues aware of the importance of having their vaccination.

With just 10 days to go until our immunisers get cracking there will be lots more communications over the coming weeks.

Last year, more than 3100 colleagues had a ‘flu vaccine to help protect our patients. This year we want to do even better, asking people to have the courage to put our patients first. The wellbeing of colleagues is important to help us all deliver compassionate care to our patients. A new Health and Wellbeing CQUIN will help us better support colleagues.

It’s proven that the more colleagues we vaccinate, the greater the protection there is for others around us - so watch this space and get involved by having your vaccination as early as possible.
