Comms' Jacqui Booth has dropped nine stones from 20 stones 9lbs to 11 stones 9 lbs and says: "I'm the happiest I've been in such a long time."
She follows the Slimming World food optimising eating plan and virtually runs everywhere...as many CHFT colleagues must have witnessed. We reckon she holds the Acre House to Trust HQ dash record!!
The crunch time came when she was a on plane and was worried she couldn't fit into one of the seats. When she needed an extender for her seatbelt, that was the turning point!
She started in 2014 and has since dropped from a size 28 to size 12 by eating healthy foods and regular exercise. In her first week she lost eight and a half pounds and was "blown away" that the changes she made had had such an early impact. Her monster lunchtime salads are now legendary in the comms office (see attached) and she's regularly at work after an early morning spinning class.
She now goes forward to the national Woman of the Year contest. She adds: "The contest isn't important - what is is that losing weight has changed my life. My fitness has improved and I enjoy being active rather than thinking of it as a chore."
