One of the greatest assets we have at CHFT is our colleagues. To make sure they have enough information to support their own health and wellbeing, as well as that of their patients, families and friends, we are creating a new wellbeing handbook - and we need ideas from colleagues about what they'd like including in it.
A number of colleagues have already offered their support. Executive PA Linda Cordingley said: “Wellbeing not only supports you in your working life, but in your home and social life too. Keeping healthy is important to me so I can enjoy the good things that come my way. I would like to pass on any techniques that work for me to other colleagues so we can all enjoy a rich and rewarding lifestyle”.
Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing, Christine Bouckley is asking for ideas for content from colleagues right across CHFT.
Christine said “Of course I can contribute to the handbook, though the key thing is to make sure we get input from colleagues to make sure we get it right for them".
The handbook can include anything colleagues feel would be useful for them to know more about, or any top tips they want to pass on! No ideas will be off limits at this stage. So it could be advice on taking the right amount of breaks, the correct way to sit at your desk to alleviate physical aches and pains or availability of mental health support.
If there is something you feel should go into the handbook please contact christine.bouckly@cht.nhs.uk or call 01422 222037.
