A morning conference has been arranged at the Madni Mosque, Gibbet Street, Halifax on Tuesday 23rd August (9.30 – 13.30)
The intention is to give information and guidance on end of life care issues to members of the Asian community.
It is also an opportunity for those within healthcare to listen to concerns about accessing services. The day has been organised jointly with Overgate Hospice and CHFT End of Life Care Training lead, Andrea Vickerman and the CHFT Chaplaincy Department.
Speakers include Drs Tim Jackson and Mary Kiely, Mufti Abdus Samee and a representative from the Calderdale Register Office. All welcome – samosas at 1 p.m!
This is an opportunity to explain how in the Trust we support with end of life care and the philosophy behind the hospice movement, with a view to increasing engagement within the Muslim community.
