What has been done so far?

 

  • ESR Manager Self –Service roll-out has started in the Medical/Corporate/THIS and Surgical divisions
  • Divisional leads have been provided with communications to cascade to their managers about ESR Manager Self-Service requirements
  • The e-learning training package has been published in ESR and made available to managers in these divisions
  • On completion of the competency assessment, managers have been given access to the Self-Service functionality enabling them to update appraisals, absence records and complete terminations directly into the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). Managers also have access to a wide range of real time workforce information metrics using the Business Intelligence reporting suite, which allows them to view information such as training records, absences records, and professional registrations for their areas.
  • Information videos have been made available on the Trust Intranet

 

 

What next?

 

  • In August 2016 sickness will be recorded directly into ESR by managers for Medical/Corporate/THIS/Surgical divisions.
  • Hierarchy structures are to be developed in ESR to reflect the Divisional Management structure for Community
  • Registration Authority (RA) activities to be completed for managers within the Community Division
  • Community Division managers to begin training and receive ESR system access in September

 

What do divisions need to do?

 

Medical, Corporate, Surgical Divisions and THIS (Health Informatics)

  • Managers MUST complete the ESR Mandatory training by 29th August 2016
  • Any terminations and absence from 1 September 2016 MUST be recorded on ESR
  • All affected employees MUST be informed by 29 August 2016 using the briefing
  • September 2016 sickness MUST be recorded on ESR. Other types of returns will NOT be accepted.

 

Community, Estates and FSS

Divisional leads need to:

  • ensure managers are familiar with ESR prior to doing their online training
  • ensure managers have a Smartcard as this is the only way they can access Manager ESR
  • let their areas know that Manager ESR will be coming to their divisions
