Colleagues are invited to come along to sample some of the fresh produce grown at our hospital and local health centres as well as learn more about cooking workshops taking place soon.

Hear more about growing fresh fruit and veg (which you can do at home) and the plans for the sensory plots and gardens at CRH. There are already community style gardens in Todmorden where local people are encouraged to take the vegetables and herbs to use at home, and we’ll be looking for green fingered colleagues to help tend the gardens at CRH too.

On Thursday 28 July between 10am and 2.00pm at CRH there will be a stand in the main entrance of the hospital with nibbles, produce display and information. Plus there will also be a smoothie bike and more nibbles behind the learning centre (yes you can have a go!).

Incredible Edible Todmorden supported our garden at CRH last year and this will take it a step further. There will be vegetables grown behind the learning centre and herbs in the courtyards…..and everyone will be encouraged to take advantage of the produce on offer as it starts to grow.

This is a joint initiative with Incredible AquaGarden and CHFT with extra funding by Calderdale CCG and TD Green Streets through Rooting and Fruiting.
