Our health visitor, Gill Doodson, is retiring from the Trust after 28 years with us.

After her husband got a job at Webster's brewery in Halifax, they relocated from Newcastle and her career began as a nurse in December of 1988, before becoming a health visitor at Beechwood health centre.

When we asked Gill what she'll miss most, she told us it would be cuddling the babies and meeting the mums.

She added: "It's been a big part of my life and I absolutely love it, it's been a great career choice for me.

"In my retirement, I'm looking forward to spending more time with my family, and I have a few other things planned such as a singing weekend coming up."
