ISS cleaner Nathan Miah's swapped his vac for a video camera to direct a new recruitment filmd for the Trust.

The short film will feature a commentary from our CEO Owen Williams talking about working at CHFT and living in West Yorkshire and stars colleagues from all areas. It will sit on the "Working For Us" section of the website to give potential applicants an extra insight into our area and our Trust.

Nathan has filmed colleagues at work on ward 19 at HRI and in A&E at CRH and our community colleagues at Todmorden Health Centre  and will be editing the final shortly. Thanks to everyone who agreed to be filmed. We'll let everyone know when it's available.

Nathan's NHS connections are very deep as his mum, dad and brother all work for the Trust.  He recently completed the video of the fashion show for ISS where colleagues paraded on the catwalk showing their new range of uniforms.

Here's all about him.

What is your position?

I'm a domestic at Calderdale Royal Hospital and help keep the place clean and sparkling!

Tell us about your career background.

I'm a graduate of Film Production and Screenwriting and I have made several short films and music videos. Currently I'm finishing up writing comedy series for the web.

What are the best bits about your job?

I meet some really lovely staff members on the departments that I clean. As someone who enjoys food and cooking, some of these staff members trade recipes and cooking tips with me as well as letting me sample some of their own cooking and baking!

What is the highlight of your career so far?

Having a film I made being shown as part of a film festival, or the comedy series I'm writing - I'm incredibly proud of it!

Sum up your role in three words.

Dust, vac, mop!

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

When I was younger I used to want to be a pilot or a filmmaker so I guess I'm heading in the right direction with one of those!

Who is your hero/heroine and why?

Tina Turner. She's living proof that you can achieve anything you put your mind to regardless of age and that good things come to those who wait. Just because you're not there yet, doesn't mean you won't get there!

When you are not at work how do you relax?

I enjoy listening to music a lot, seeing friends, travel, food and drink. Not necessarily in that order.

What is your favourite place?

Melbourne! Without a doubt the best place I have ever been and I miss it every single day.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

A few years ago, me and my friend auditioned for The X Factor for a laugh. Neither of us can sing, especially me. Needless to say, Simon Cowell and co weren't impressed and didn't put us through to bootcamp. Their loss!
