Our 5-a-side tournament hosted by Occupational Health teams to promote Men's Health Week got off to a flyer - the sun shone for once over Brooksbank School.

It led to a great evening with Finance beating Medicine 1-0 to lift the trophy. The final was a tight affair with little clear cut chances and  injury led to the winning goal.

Organiser, Matthew Bleach, said: "The winner came about when Medicine's defensive rock Calum Maciver strained his calf and allowed them through on goal which was expertly dispatched."

The player of the tournament was Medicines keeper John Afriyie. Matthew added: "He pulled off some fantastic saves."

Our CEO Owen Williams and his son went along and helped Medicine reach the final, but Owen missed the final due to work commitments and was visibly upset!

Matthew added: "Occupational Health supplied refreshments and first aid assistance and a big thank you to David Richardson for refereeing."
