On Sunday July 17th, there will be a Remembrance Service held at 3pm in the grounds of Acre House.

The service is being jointly organised by our local SANDS groups (Huddersfield and Halifax) and the Hospital Chaplaincy; we hope it caters for those of all faiths and none and gives space to remember with love the babies who have gone before us.

The team are hoping to make the most of the summer weather and have a balloon release as part of the service as we did last year. If the weather is really poor, the meeting point will be in the Hospital Lecture Theatre (sub-basement near the Southside Dining Room).

As is usual at these services, the names of babies will be read out in an act of remembering. If you are unable to come, but would like your child’s name read out, please telephone the chaplain’s office (01484 342092).

If you require any further information please feel free to contact George Spencer or Rachel Brann at SANDS via Huddersfieldsands@yahoo.co.uk or on 07919487841.

It would greatly help us if anyone attending could bring their own balloon filled with helium: there will only be a limited number of balloons provided on the day.
