Staff from CHFT were part of a team of healthcare professionals invited to speak at a national conference in Zalau, in the heart of Transylvania Romania last month.
It was Carole Hallam’s 10th visit to Zalau where she and other CHFT staff have been providing support to Zalau Emergency Hospital since 2004.
Included in the team this year was Dr Pnt Laloë, Consultant Anaesthetist, visiting for the second year, Dr Anu Rajgopal, Consultant Microbiologist, and Juliette Cosgrove, Assistant Director of Quality, both visiting for the first time and former staff Mel Johnson, Helen Fearnley and Tracey Corner.
As well as presenting at the conference the team participated in the Infection Prevention Society's Hand Hygiene Torch Tour campaign to promote the importance of hand hygiene across the UK and across the globe. The torch is held by Ramona Marincas, Director of Nursing in Zalau.
