Our Executive Board - including Director of Nursing Brendan Brown attending his first meeting -  came with more than just papers earlier today (Thursday) - they all had their 2016 Celebrating Success Awards t- shirts.

Following Owen's email to colleagues yesterday they wanted to share their love for the awards to spread the word and get those entries rolling in.

This year there are the Four Pillars categories again, plus new for 2016 we're making changes and introducing three new People Awards:

  • Support Staff Superstar Award
  • Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Award
  • Pioneer of the Year Award

Also new for 2016: If you submit an entry for any of the awards -  but are not successful in being shortlisted-  your name (as the submitter) will automatically go into a draw for a ‘wild card’ invitation to the awards ceremony, which will be held at Huddersfield Town Hall on Wednesday 2 November.

Lesley Hill, Director of Estates and Facilities, and our lead on the exec team for Celebrating Success said: "It's clear that there is a huge amount fantastic work happening every day at our Trust. I for one don't know why colleagues wouldn't want to shout about their achievements or nominate a colleague for a People Award!

"We know that colleagues shared their pride with the CQC when they came to visit, and that people have been nominating colleagues for Star Awards. We also cover lots of great stories in CHFT Weekly and of course our staff win external awards too. There's plenty there to shout about".

Send us your selfies with Owen in his t-shirt

If you spot Owen out and about in in his t-shirt - grab a selfie and send it to CHFT@cht.nhs.uk

We'll share them, and if we get enough, we may even be able to use them at the ceremony on 2 November at Huddersfield Town Hall.
