We're making changes to our car parking permits - the deadline to leave or join the scheme in time for July is Friday 17 June.

There is nothing to do if you are already in the scheme - the changes will be automatically applied.

These changes mean a decrease in the cost of parking for many lower salary scales.

What do I need to do to opt-in or out of the permit scheme?

  • If you wish to opt-out of the car parking permit scheme please contact car.parking@cht.nhs.uk by Friday 17 June at the latest to give payroll time to process the change.
  • If you’d like to apply for a permit please complete the attached form and send it to the same email address car.parking@cht.nhs.uk by Friday 17 June.
  • If you are already registered and have a permit you don’t need to do anything, changes will be applied automatically.

Salary sacrifice scheme

Colleagues can choose to pay for their car parking through the salary sacrifice scheme. There are things you need to know before you join, so if you want to know more please click here.

If after reading up you want to join do this please email: Ask.Payroll@cht.nhs.uk

The car parking changes have been discussed at length with our Membership Council and Staff Management Partnership Forum and we believe this is a fairer approach to setting charges.

The Trust Board never takes the decision to increase car parking charges lightly. Additionally most other local trusts also adopt this approach and our charges are comparable.
