Consultant dermatologist, Dr Helen Galvin, has retired following 31 years with the Trust.

Helen started as a clinical assistant, becoming an Associate Specialist and finally taking up a consultant post in 2002, and has been involved in many of the changes and challenges that have been faced by the department over this time.

She is now looking forward to her retirement and spending more time walking, going to the theatre and meeting friends for lunch.

Over the last 6 years Helen has been learning Italian and now plans to enrol on a course at Leeds Metropolitan University to further her language skills.

She now hopes to spend a lot more time in her beloved Italy, and her colleagues wish her well for the future.
