The idea of this event according to our chaplain, George Spencer, is to have a peaceful day out with a chance to renew and refresh ourselves in the beautiful countryside on our doorstep. We leave the stresses and strains of our daily lives behind for a breather.
Good coffee and pastries will set the style with a little self - indulgence from 9.30 a.m, and then there will be a gentle session on resilience to reflect on our natural resourcefulness.
The day will also contain a chance to be creative, a session on musing on why we are all different, and finish with a mindfulness practice.
‘This is a day for anyone who wants some time out, and follows on after last year’s ‘stress busters’, George says. ‘It’s free and you are welcome whatever your faith standpoint – or lack of one. We are running it under the Workforce Wellbeing initiative with CHFT Occupational Health Dept.
