Celebrating Success 2016 goes live on Monday next week, 16 May!

You have ten weeks to get in a nomination. There are seven categories again this year, four based around the four pillars of behaviour, then the ever-popular people categories.  These have been revamped and refreshed for 2016 and they are Pioneer of the Year, Support Service Superstar and the GEM (Going the Extra Mile) award.  The winner from each category will be put forward for the overall Gordon McLean award which attracts a cash prize of £5000 for the winner to use in their service area – not to be sniffed at!

Our CEO Owen Williams, said: “ I am really looking forward to all the submissions this year and love the new GEM (going the extra mile) category. I imagine we will be inundated for that! It’s our annual celebration of all the latest developments and successes from right across our Trust and I would encourage everyone to take this opportunity to celebrate what we do so well every day for our patients.”

Have a think about what’s great about you, your team and what you do and get your nominations in!  Don’t forget all the fabulous work that you put into your preparations for the CQC visit – there are lots of examples of award-worthy work out there already!

We’re looking for a wide range of nominations from across all our divisions and all staff, clinical or not, can apply. The deadline is: midnight on Sunday, July 31.

We had some fantastic feedback following our  awards ceremony last year at Huddersfield Town Hall so we’re going back there again this year – on Wednesday 2 November.

We’ll be issuing wild card tickets again for the “big do” – watch out for more information on screensavers, the intranet, in Big Brief, in CHFT Weekly

All the information you’ll need to apply will be on the intranet from Monday but if you’ve got any questions before then, e-mail celebrating.success@cht.nhs.uk

Good luck!!
