Angela Hope has joined the Trust as lead for Clinical Skills and Simulation.

She will be working three days a week and will work cross site although her office base is in the Learning and Development Centre at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

Angela’s role is to develop the clinical skills/simulation facilities and  training across the Trust. Angela trained as a nurse at Calderdale and went on to become a senior ward sister.

She has always had a keen interest in simulation and skills and went on to become a lecturer in the subject at Huddersfield University and more recently in Australia.

Angela has developed a number of internationally recognised clinical skills programmes and in 2012 was awarded the International Education Innovator of the year.

We are really pleased to have Angela back with us in the Trust. If you have any simulation or clinical skills training ideas you wish to develop please do contact Angela and she will be happy to progress.
