Team working in construction at the Trust  has won another regional award for excellence - beating the likes of the York Minster restoration project.

HRI estates and our long-term partners of 15 years Interserve have jointly collected the award at the prestigious Chartered Institute of Building in the  category for Committed to Construction in Humber & West Yorkshire (CCIHWY)  Collaborative Working. The P21 and P21+schemes were entered.

For many years we have worked together on major projects at HRI including theatre block refurb, major rolling programme of ward revamps, the new entrances and together they have all resulted ina  five-star environment  for our patients and their families and for us to work in.

Director of Estates, Lesley Hill, said: " We are really pleased with this award which recognises the collaboration we have had with Interserve over 12 years. We have developed some excellent capital developments together, which has improved the services we can give to patients at HRI."

This follows on from last year’s success in the regional and national success in the Construction Excellence Awards for Value.

Interserve won 4 awards on Friday night  one with our colleagues SWYPFT for Schemes below £5m with Laura Mitchel Health & Wellbeing Centre.

The Trust also won  awards for Acre Mills last year and raeched the finals in several others.

Paul Gilling, Andrew Jackson (Interserve)  and Hannah Spotwood attended the finals.
