There was a presentation to our outgoing Director of Nursing Julie Dawes at her final Weekly Executive Board meeting this morning. Flowers and gift vouchers for House of Fraser were donated and tomorrow she will say a special farewell to her team of senior nurse colleagues.
Julie is heading to the Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust in Southampton after two years at CHFT succeeding Helen Thomson. Julie, who has family in Hebden Bridge, came to us from Portsmouth NHS Trust where she was Chief Nurse and her family is based in the south.
Our CEO, Owen told her: " I really want to say thank you. You have been a real back-bone for this Trust and helped us get in to a better place. Our patients have really benefitted. I wish you all the best in your future organisation who, without doubt, will significantly benefit because you are there."
After the CQC inspection he told her as part of the feedback, " I really believe without your erive and determination the conversations wouldn't have been the same."
Julie, said: " I have loved my time here and I wish you all the very best. The teams at all levels are brilliant. The nursing team are the best I have ever worked with – hardworking, dedicated and committed to the patients . It has been a real pleasure to be part of it.
