When you're affected by cancer, having the right kind of information and support at the right time is essential.  

At the Macmillan Unit in Calderdale we have the Jayne Garforth Cancer Information Centre which is available for staff and patients alike. 

And now within the newly refurbished Greenlea Oncology Unit (old ward 7) at HRI there is a new Cancer Information room which provides a confidential, drop-in service for anyone affected by cancer (see attached photo) which provides:

• Literature on all aspects of living with cancer, including practical and emotional support  
• Signposting to benefits and welfare advice
• The opportunity to discuss cancer related issues
• Access to a private room where you can talk to someone in confidence
• Information and support over the phone for those not able to access the service in person
