The first of two public meetings is being held in Halifax this evening between 6pm and 8pm at North Bridge Leisure Centre.

CHFT will be represented on the panel by Chief Executive Owen Williams, Medical Director David Birkenhead and Associate Director of Nursing Jo Middleton.

Then next Monday (April 18) there will be a public meeting at the John Smith's Stadium in Huddersfield between 6pm and 8pm. Owen, David and Nurse Consultant for Emergency Care Janet Youd will be on the CHFT Panel at that meeting.

It's not just about A&E

It’s really important that colleagues at CHFT contribute their views about the proposals. Many may be our patients or have family and friends who use our services.

The emphasis in the media and by campaigners to date has been very much on the proposed changes to Accident and Emergency Services.

It’s really important to remember the proposed changes also affect planned care and community services. In fact many, many more people access these services than attend A&E each year.

Staff information sessions - please share with colleagues without access to a PC

We’re running two staff information sessions. They will be drop-in style, and attended by the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) as well as key CHFT colleagues. These will be opportunity to come along and find out more about what the changes mean, as well as giving views.

Friday 29 April – CRH Learning Centre, Large Training Room          2.30pm to 4.30pm (drop-in at any time)

Wednesday 4 May – HRI Learning Centre, Discussion Room 1      10.00am to midday (drop-in at any time)

How to take part in the consultation

It's quicker and easier to complete contribute views on line, which can be done at home or at work. You can find the survey here: www.rightcaretimeplace.co.uk/consultation/have-your-say/
