Staff nurse, Kathryn Johnson, has retired after 30 years working at the Trust.

Her roles have included time spent working as a staff nurse at St Luke's Hospital in Huddersfield, alongside her time working at both HRI and CRH.

Ward Clerk, Lynn Atkinson, said: "Kathryn was a very well liked member of the team, and she will be missed a great deal."

Her colleagues organised a get-to-together on the ward on Tuesday, and the room was filled with chocolate, cakes and other goodies.

She was presented with a large bouquet of flowers, and posters on the walls read: "See you soon" and "She will be back" as Kath plans to return to do a few shifts here and there in the future.

In her retirement, Kathryn told us: "I plan to go on a few more holidays with my family and keep up to my hobbies such as walking.

"I'll also be meeting up with friends and socialising - I'm not quite climbing the Himalayas or anything like that!"
