In Tuesday night's finale - just after a third series was announced - the current Happy Valley ended including scenes shot at CRH of Sarah Lancashire heading down a corridor.

Mystery had surrounded exactly who she was coming to see and everyone had been kept guessing.  It turned out Sgt Catherine Cawood was coming to visit Alison Garrs, played by actress Susan Lynch. She had just shot her son and taken an overdose.

The shots were filmed over a four hour period one evening before Christmas at CRH on the medical day case unit. Producers said it had meant a lot for Calderdale's  award-winning writer Sally Wainwright to have been able to film in her local hospital. They donated £1,000 to Trust funds as a thankyou.
