This week has seen Nutrition and Hydration week come round again.
The aim of the week is to reinforce and focus energy, activity and engagement on nutrition and hydration as an important part of quality care, experience and safety improvement in health and social care settings.
Following on from last year’s success, Nutrition and Hydration week 2016 was packed once again with information and advice, food tasting events, prizes to be won and afternoon tea for the whole hospital.
Student Dietitian, Jessica Newton, pictured, is seven weeks into her 12 week placement. She said "I think it amazing what we do. Just to see the wide range of food available and the close work between catering and others shows how importantly CHFT thinks it is.
"It's important to make sure people get the right nutitional advice to help patients get well or better more quickly".
If you complete your MUST training on the ESR during this week, you could also be entered into a draw to win a Costa Hamper worth £25!!! (Please note, only valid until Friday 18th March)
The catering teams at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital provided afternoon tea for all patients and offered food sampling sessions with a Q&A about their menus.
