The West Yorkshire 4x4 volunteers needsyour vote.
They were formed in September 2011 by a group of 4x4 vehicle owners to help NHS staff get to work during severe bad winter snowfall. Many members of the group have been involved in helping CHFT colleagues get to work when the area has been affected by severe winter weather. During the rest of the year the group supports local community events and charities and local carnivals.
The group have applied to the Peoples Projects run in conjunction with ITV and the Big Lottery Fund and are through to the final five projects. They were shown on Calendar News on Wednesday 2nd March and all projects are subject to a public vote which ends on Sunday 13th March.
There will be cash grants available of £50,000 to the winning project by the public voting system.
If they win, the money will be used to improve their communications facilities in the purchase of a Mobile Command and Control unit, and additional GPS Tracking equipment.
Voting ends March 13th at noon and the winners will be announced on the ITV Calendar Evening News slot on Wednesday 16th March.
The web addresses below will take you directly to the Peoples Projects webpages and voters simply have to enter a few details, vote, and confirm their vote by clicking on an email they will receive back.
