Staff Nurse, Midwife and Band 2/3 Trust Induction
We have launched an induction programme for staff nurses, midwives and band 2/3 staff members. The staff nurse/midwife induction and the band 2/3 induction run separately.
The staff nurse and midwife induction runs over five days. This incorporates some mandatory training along with organisational induction. This enables our new staff nurses to have a good insight to our organisation. All new starters should be booked onto the nearest induction week as soon as they commence.
We ask that all new staff nurses and midwives have an email account when they come onto the induction in order to complete their mandatory training during this week.
The band 2/3 induction will now link with the trust induction for apprentice nurse assistants. Although the apprentice induction runs over 2 weeks, band 2/3 staff members will only need to attend for 5 part days over the 2 week period. The content of the induction programme will provide the band 2/3 staff members with the essential skill and knowledge required to ensure that all aspects of care are carried in out safe and effective manner.
