The Trust is holding two sessions next week for colleagues to bring you an update on reconfiguration. As you are aware our CCGs (clinical commissioning groups) have backed a consultation on changes which would see a new-built hospital with 10 theatres to be a planned care centre at HRI and CRH becoming the Emergency care centre for our two populations of Calderdale and Greater Huddersfield.
On Monday (Feb 22) the Joint Scrutiny Committee for Kirklees and Calderdale will be considering the next steps in the process and a date for formal consultation is expected to be set shortly.
The Trust very much wants colleagues to get involved and that is why the two sessions have been arranged to explain where we are at and the case for change on clinical grounds so we can deliver safe, quality care to both our communities.
They will be:
HRI site: Tuesday - 1- 2 pm, Room3 & 4 at Acre Mills with our CEO Owen Williams and Medical Director David Birkenhead
CRH - Friday - 9.15-10.15 am Parentcraft Room at CRH .with Owen and Emergency care consultant Mark Davies
There are also many other opportunities to get involved in the process outside work.
There will be a range of public information sessions and public meetings across Calderdale and Huddersfield in the next months and the consultation is expected to last around 14 weeks.
