We have a new section on the intranet to store our patient information leaflets. (see icon attched in non-clincal tools)

All patient information will be stored there for easy access. Work has already started to convert patient information from the booklet style into the new easy to read A4 sheet style.

We know that some departments will continue to require booklet-style leaflets. To make sure we produce good quality and professional prints these booklet style leaflets must be printed externally. The Procurement Team can advise on costs and print times. And the standard for external printing will be black and white, unless there is a business need for colour.

Patient Information Co-ordinator, Kath Leathwood (pictured in the attachment above with a couple of leaflets) has been working hard to produce the new  leaflets into the new trust format. “I’ve really enjoyed being part of the project to refresh our leaflets. It was a lot of work, but I know that it will bring us bang up-to-date, not only in the new design, but also by offering to send leaflets by email”.

Not all our leaflets will be available on the new repository immediately, so we'd ask colleagues to be patient until they are.

What do I need to do?

If you have paper leaflets displayed in your department, please check they are the most current leaflets. You can find the leaflet number and review date on the back of the leaflet.

Remember if you are providing patient information leaflets, you are responsible for ensuring it is correct and up-to date information.

If you are responsible for reviewing or writing a new leaflet please refer to the Written Patient Information Policy for guidance - you'll find this and lots more information in our new repository which can be found in non-clinical tools from the home page (see attachment for image of icon).
