Here's staff nurse Rachel Barrow -  7ft tall in the South Drive entrance!

Our new posters campaign is being rolled out across our Trust so expect to see more colleagues' smiley faces on a wall near you!

Rachel was one of several colleagues who  posed for new photos to update our Trust collection before Christmas. They were so good we decided to convert them into smiley posters! In hers, Rachel welcomes visitors to HRI and her smiling face is currently up at both entrances.

She said: " I had no idea at the time I'd end up at the front of our hospitals. We had the photo in our new  A&E staff room and I thought it would be about that. Or about A4 size. I never thought my photo would end up like this... but hey-ho I am a bit flattered too, I have to say."

Rachel is one of more than 40 CHFT faces which will be going up around the Trust and in community settings on wall posters and in glass panes to create a welcoming, bright environment for colleagues, patients, their families and visitors.

We've attached more images (see top of story) and we'll share more next week too (we've run out of space - again!).

  • Stacey McGowan, Debra Adams and Maxine Romain from the Medical Assessment Unit at CRH
  • Obs & Gynae Team at CRH
  • Community Staff Nurse Sarah Ward
  • Jodaine Wallace from Ward 21
  • Geraldine Mulligan from Children's Outpatients

** A huge thanks to Rachel for making the effort to come along for a pic with her poster in South Drive entrance . The team at CHFT Weekly really appreciate it. Sadly, the high winds meant the door was locked and we couldn't get it.
