We’re preparing to welcome the CQC inspection team on 8 March. We’ve submitted lots of information to them in advance – but there are some things colleagues can do now to be prepared.

Do the must-dos

• Your appraisal should be completed before March
• Your mandatory and essential training should be up-to-date
• Make sure you know about DoLS, Safeguarding and Mental Capacity Act

Know about raising risks and concerns

• Do you know how to escalate something onto the risk register?
• Do you know how to raise a concern?

If you don’t have access to the risk register or need to raise a concern then please talk to a ward or team manager in the first instance.

Shout loud and proud

• Think about your top two positive things you’d like the CQC to hear about
• And what are you most proud of about working at our Trust?
