CHFT are going to The London Marathon 2016 in April next year to play a part in the fabulous causes.

Ward Sister, Stephanie Rich, is taking part in aid of Whizz Kids and she's already started fundrasing.

Whizz Kids are a charity organisation who aim to transform the lives of disabled children with vital mobility equipment and life skills training, which gives them the chance to be independent.

She's already started her training, and although the dark cold nights are making it that bit harder, she's determined to do it and is enjoying the challenge.

Stephanie, from ward 19, told us: "I'm not really an experienced runner but I did do the North Run about five years ago and after that I vowed never to run again. But it's for a great cause to help children do things that we take for granted, and in total I need to try and raise £1,700."

We fully support Steph in her brave decision, and although she's already managed to make a terrific start in raising £235, her end goal still seems a fair way off.
