Fire doors, the surface of Acre Mills staff car park and more storage space were amongst the discussions at Estates' first drop-in surgeries held yesterday afternoon.

Director Lesley Hill and associate director David McGarrigan hosted the session to make it easier for colleagues to raise estates issues or any other issues. (For example, one colleague asked for more information  about our Five Year Plan - and there is plenty of info on our intranet now)

The surgery was held in one of the hubs next to The Spice of Life at HRI for three hours and the new drop-in format was hoped to appeal through its face-to-face nature.

Lesley Hill said: "We thought we'd try something different to make it easier for colleagues to come to us about absolutely anything to do with Estates."

And estates pledge that everything raised will be taken on board  and the first steps will be underway by December 11.
