Dear Colleagues

I would like to thank-you all for the manner in which the preparation and planning for the Junior Doctors' strike  -  expected on December 1 - was conducted.

On the day - despite it being called off - all of our medical staff responded in a professional manner. Our Junior and LMC colleagues worked with the Trust to ensure that safe care was maintained. And the flexibility shown by our non-training and Consultant staff helped to minimise the impact on our patients.

I would also like to acknowledge the very hard work put into the planning by our clinical managers and  non-clinical managers led by Helen Barker and Jason Eddleston.

It does not come as a surprise but again shows how we always put our patients first.
