Next week marks another milestone in the EPR development calendar.

The process of creating an Electronic Patient Record system for two trusts is a complex one and the EPR programme team is currently working through every detail.

Already, tens of hundreds  of decisions have been captured in  ‘data collection worksheets’ that collectively define the future system.

This creates the time and space to think about how we might learn from best-practices and work differently with EPR to support them.

Next week is known as ‘Future State Checkpoint’, where these decisions are checked with the clinicians who helped to make them prior to the next stage of the programme.
